The Mouse Always Wins

We did not have time to make an in-game tutorial for the jam so please read the “how to play” below! 

The mouse always wins? Surely it will be easy for our mob of mice to pay off our debts if we’re always winning at these casino games. Well, it will be easy as long as we don’t get caught! 

Controls: 

Mouse (point and click) or Arrow keys: Move the cursor 

Enter: Select 

Escape: Open menu 

How to play 

Select a casino game to play and earn money. You will win every time, simple as that! But watch out - each time you play a game, the security guards get more suspicious. A few things will happen after you play a game:

• “Heat” will appear on the floor you are on as the guards look for you. Two heat will appear on the game you played and one heat will appear on the other two games on that floor.

• Then, the guards will inspect the games. There is one guard on each of the two floors. They will always check a game with five heat, and if no game has five heat, there is a 50% chance they will check a game with 4 heat. If you are not present at the game they check, 2 heat will be removed from the inspected game.

• Then, one heat will be removed from a game on the floor you did not play on.

However, if you are ever at a game that one of the guards is inspecting, it’s game over! Good luck escaping the guards with all the cheddar!
